Description
Max Richter’s While The Flood Rages is a classical album for listeners drawn to orchestral music, electronics and immersive soundscapes. Its 15 tracks unfold across three acts, combining piano, choir and processed field recordings.
Created from Richter’s collaboration with choreographer Wayne McGregor on MaddAddam, inspired by Margaret Atwood’s trilogy, the album explores ecological collapse, technological acceleration and resilience. Recurring piano motifs offer moments of reflection within its dense, cinematic sound.
