Description
Liege & Lief is a folk rock album by Fairport Convention, pressed on 180g vinyl in a gatefold sleeve. It brings traditional English folk songs together with rock rhythms.
The album helped establish a template for British folk rock and is regarded as one of the most influential albums in British rock. It features five traditional tracks and three originals in the folk style.
Standout songs include the eight-minute “Matty Groves” and “A Sailor’s Life”. This reissue replicates the original 1969 UK release.
