Description
Glassworks is a Philip Glass album on standard black vinyl, suited to listeners drawn to his distinctive repetitive musical structures. It presents a more accessible, pop-oriented side of his minimalist style.
Glass is widely regarded as one of the most influential composers of the late 20th century. On Glassworks, the Philip Glass Ensemble performs six warm pieces with a soft-edged sound.
Standout pieces include “Rubric” and “Facades”, both featured in the documentary Man on Wire, as well as “Floe” and “Opening”, which appeared in film soundtracks.
